Being a woman is a matter of birth, but being a woman that makes a difference; in other words, a DELTA woman is a matter of CHOICE!!! ~Soror Gwendolyn E. Boyd 22nd Past National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Fall State Meeting 2010)
Epsilon Epsilon Chapter
The Epsilon Epsilon Chapter was chartered on April 30, 1961 at Michigan State University by 8 ELITE women fully immersed in the spirit of Delta. At the “Elite” Epsilon Epsilon Chapter, we are dedicated to the principles upon which our illustrious sisterhood was established. We are constantly striving to carry on the legacy of our predecessors, serving our community through the Sorority’s Five Point Thrust. The function of the sorority as a public service organization was emphasized while the social aspect was of secondary importance. In Epsilon-Epsilon Chapter we continue to strive to serve the community.
We are extremely proud to call ourselves the home of the National President, Dr. Paulette Walker of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Chapter Overview
We have hosted programs on financial literacy to help students at MSU with Economic Development. We have organized our annual Project Backpack project where we donate book bags and supplies to youth in need for the Educational Development of Lansing youth. We host an annual Delta Scholarship Ball where we award MSU students who have excelled academically. We have hosted programs on International Awareness and Involvement on the topics of beauty around the world and human trafficking. We have continually supported the awareness of HIV-AIDs by raising money and participating in the Lansing Area AIDs Network AIDS Walk in September. We launched our annual Project S.H.A.P.E. (Supporting Health and Asserting Positive Energy). We have committed to raising awareness about Diabetes and Breast Cancer through informational sessions and participation in local fundraising efforts. These programs and initiatives help with Physical and Mental Health in the community of Lansing and on campus. We put on many programs that bring attention to disparity and leave the campus politically aware of issues taking place in the community. We participate in Delta Days in the State’s Capitol bi-annually and meet with Michigan Policy Makers to be announced from the House Floor in Lansing. We have always registered voters and know how important Political Awareness and Involvement is to our community. We stress Scholarship with study tables at least twice a semester. We provide bi-weekly community service activities in the surrounding community and stress the importance of Service. Most importantly we keep our Sisterhood as strong as ever.
